LOUISANA MESOTHELIOMA ATTORNEY

A Louisiana Mesothelioma Attorney is able to research a case and conclude compensation levels owed to anyone that has developed mesothelioma while employed at a particular place.  Here is one example of what can happen:  This was not our case but an excellent sign that more great rewards are to come from the state of Louisiana. A Louisiana man who developed malignant mesothelioma after years of exposure to asbestos was awarded $3.2 million in damages earlier this week.

Ray F. Rando, 61, who worked as a pipefitter and welder at numerous industrial and commercial sites in the mid 60s, was required to handle asbestos-laden products on a daily basis.  In September 2005, Mr. Rando was diagnosed with mesothelioma, a fatal and devastating type of cancer caused by frequent asbestos exposure. His lawsuit claimed that his employers failed to warn him about the dangers of asbestos as are many of the lawsuits set forth these days.  The verdict was against such Louisiana companies as Shell Oil Company, Tenneco, Murphy Oil, Lou-Con Construction, Parsons Infrastructure and Technology, Eagle and McCarty, and Jacob Constructors.  Another known asbestos refinery that Mr. Rando was not employed at but should still be of a concern is a business focused on ship repairs, conversions, and constructions; Bollinger.  This company operates eight certified shipyards located throughout South Louisiana, and its main headquarters reside in Lockport. The company concentrates its construction on small to medium-sized offshore and inland vessels.

Malignant mesothelioma is the most serious of all asbestos-related diseases. Although uncommon, mesothelioma is no longer considered rare. Mesothelioma is a cancer that is particularly difficult for doctors to diagnose and one that does not respond well to therapy.  If you have been employed by any of these companies or you know you have been exposed to asbestos in Louisiana you need a skilled Louisiana Mesothelioma Attorney.
